In my home, from my porch in the mornings I enjoy the birdsong of our regular visitors. I cannot always see the one who sings. I know she is there by the music. Music from an invisible source is dream-like. It stirs memories. And it conjures imaginings of the possible connections.

How I create a paper collage: I begin by prepping the watercolor paper substrate. I gesso it and stretch it. The individual pieces applied to the collage are all original prints and direct painted pieces of fabric or thin paper. Elements in this work have been created by monotype printing, relief printing, screen printing and stenciling.

This item is for artwork in a single black mat, 24” x 30” exterior mat size, a standard frame size. Frame is not incuded.
