The Longed-For Day    38”H x 26”W 

The longed-For-Day captures the colors and feel of a day at the beach. It is an abstract landscape collage created with acrylic paint monotype-printed by hand on rice paper and fabric.  When the materials are collaged together, the fibers of the rice paper and fabrics bond to one another; these light-filled, watercolor-like images are as long-lasting as any acrylic painting. The colorful images are collaged with archival acrylic medium to a natural color muslin. Machine stitching adds texture.

Finishing: bound and backed with charcoal-colored eco felt. The back has a hanging pocket and a rod, for traditional hanging tapestry presentation.
