“A Sun-Promise Realized”is inspired by the exuberance of sunflowers. I love their boldness and the intensity of their color. This work combines collaged paper and fabric. The fabric has been printed and painted with a combination of wet-into-wet and relief printing.  The details of the sunflowers are hand drawn. When the materials are collaged together, the fibers of the fabrics bond to one another; these light-filled, watercolor-like images are as long-lasting as any acrylic painting. The colorful pieces are collaged with archival acrylic medium to a natural color muslin. Machine stitching adds texture.

Finishing: bound and backed with charcoal-colored eco felt. The back has a hanging pocket and a rod, for traditional hanging tapestry presentation.
