The image-making in this work includes elements of hand printmaking, direct painting on fabric and quilting construction. It was created as a whole-cloth textile work.

I was interested in creating as much depth and contrast as possible while working in a very limited palette. Each section of the work is a blue that is mixed in some degree with the blues in every other section.

The crow becomes the character in the story – pausing to take it all in.

The quilt includes a hanging rod and D-ring on the back in an attached pocket. It installs easily, hanging from a single nail or picture hook.
